TechOp Solutions International is seeking a detail-oriented Junior FOIA Analyst to support our work with the United States Coast Guard (USCG). This position involves engaging with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) processes to ensure timely and efficient responses to information requests. Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the processing and managing of FOIA and Privacy Act requests specific to USCG.
  • Conduct thorough document reviews and analyses to identify responsive records.
  • Prepare and send correspondence related to FOIA requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Utilize FOIA tracking systems to log requests and manage documents throughout the FOIA processing lifecycle.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure responses meet regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to retrieve, review, and collect information requested under FOIA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience related to FOIA processing or similar administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with FOIA regulations and the process is strongly preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and previous experience with FOIA tracking software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract obligations.

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TechOp, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25.00 - 27.00 per hour.
