We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis seeks an experienced Senior Transportation Designer to join the West Coast Team based in Colorado or Nevada. This designer will directly support the Transportation group and will be a critical team member for many of our roadway projects. The successful candidate will also provide support for the design, production and coordination of construction plans and drawings for projects. In addition, this person can select and recommend design procedures to improve team function.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Provides highway and roadway design solutions.
• Interprets complex ordinances and specifications.
• Analyzes design requirements.
• Reviews designs to ensure compliance with engineers and project requirements.
• Complies with the company established standards, conventions, procedures, and applicable engineering codes/practices.
• Prioritizes multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Coordinates with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines as needed.

What will you contribute?

• 10+ years experience in drafting and designing is required.
• Design-Build experience is a plus.
• Experience with designing in Power InRoads SS10 and OpenRoads Designer (required).
• Experience in AutoCAD is desired and not required.
• Mentor less experienced designers and engineers as needed.
• Proven technical writing and communication skills.

Expected compensation range is between $110K - 140K annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
