Android Software Engineer
Contract Position 12 Months Up to $96 / hour Omaha NE or Kansas City MO

Overview
Our client is a leading financial services organization. Were seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to join their Application Development Services team focusing on stored value card solutions and payment systems. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while contributing to critical financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and optimize Android applications using Kotlin Java and modern Android frameworks
- Collaborate with product owners to develop innovative solutions for stored value card systems
- Apply full-stack development principles with focus on front-end Android development
- Build and maintain applications using Gradle build tools and KTOR framework
- Conduct peer code reviews and mentor team members on best practices
- Create comprehensive unit tests and support continuous integration practices
- Work within agile development methodologies with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide technical support through QA UAT and production phases
- Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis for production systems
- Stay current with Android development trends and emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
Expert-level Android development with Kotlin and Java
Strong Git version control experience (merging conflicts cherry-picking)
