Permanent Position

Overview of the Role :

Join a prestigious legal team handling sophisticated insurance coverage litigation and dispute resolution. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases involving environmental and product liability matters while developing expertise in emerging legal risks. You'll collaborate with industry leaders on complex litigation from inception through trial and appeal.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Draft complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and litigation documents
  • Handle all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft memoranda
  • Manage discovery processes, including depositions and written discovery
  • Collaborate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Analyze insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes
  • Draft coverage opinions and assessments

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 4-6 years of complex litigation experience (defense-side preferred)
  • Strong interest in insurance law and emerging risks
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
  • Strong case management and client communication experience
  • Licensed and in good standing in Washington, DC
  • Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship experience (preferred)
  • Strong academic background and stable resume
