Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) -Valencia

Open to entry level or candidates with no prior home health experience

About the position:

Occupational therapy focuses on specific daily activities and movements. Utilizing the common items at home or special adaptive equipment, the OT will train the patient or caregiver in activities such as self-grooming, dressing, toileting and bathing. There are also advanced activities such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry and shopping that the OT is particularly geared toward. In addition to the above, the occupational therapy team focuses on community re-integration, as well as introducing patients to leisure-type activities that provide a holistic approach to treating health and wellness.

Title: Occupational Therapist
Schedule: Per Diem (6 visits p/week)
* Non-traditional schedules are available, i.e., Thursday-Monday
Locations: Canyon Country, Castaic, Newhall, Saugus, Stevenson Ranch, Valencia and Santa Clarita
and Arleta, Granada Hills, Mission Hills, North Hills, Northridge, Pacoima, Panorama City, Porter Ranch, San Fernando and Sylmar
Paid Training: Must be able to attend paid training for 5 days Mon-Friday 9am-5:30pm in Woodland Hills

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year Occupational Therapy experience desired
• Open to entry level or candidates with no prior home health experience
• Valid California Occupational Therapist license
• Reliable Transportation
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Must be available to work two days per week. Availability to work weekends a plus.
