Whats the Opportunity

Anchor QEA is seeking a full-time junior level scientist primarily to support work in and near San Diego and Irvine California. The successful candidate will have a natural affinity for science have the capacity to grow be a quick learner be detail-orientated be a committed team player possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be experienced with working in the marine environment. This position will support environmental science planning and engineering projects involving short and long-term monitoring programs for water sediment and biological resource quality; contaminated sediment and dredged material evaluations; stormwater monitoring; and source control investigations.

Responsibilities :

Responsibilities for the position will include the following :

• Maintenance and calibration of field equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintenance of vehicles and vessels
• Organization of field sampling supplies and warehouse space
• Field sampling and analysis at upland and in-water project sites which may include water quality monitoring sediment and soil sampling and marine mammal monitoring
• Compilation and management of environmental data
• Qualitative and quantitative analysis of environmental data
• Technical writing to support the preparation of sampling and analysis plans data deliverables and monitoring reports
