As a Security Officer - Tech / Media Dispatch in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, respond to incidents, and communicate with team members to help deter security-related concerns. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and manage communications from the dispatch center, coordinating responses to incidents and requests for assistance throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, relaying information as needed to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions and reporting findings as required.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all dispatch communications, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as necessary.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal personnel to support security-related operations at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Being at least 21 years of age is required.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
