Locum Tenens Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunity (ASAP - Ongoing)

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment near Indianapolis, IN. This opportunity provides vital surgical support through 24-hour call coverage, working alongside an experienced healthcare team. This position is ideal for a Board Certified / Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon looking for a flexible and rewarding locum tenens role.

  • Practice Setting : Inpatient
  • Location : Near Indianapolis, IN

Key Responsibilities :

  • Cardiothoracic Surgery : Provide comprehensive surgical care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) and other critical procedures.
  • Patient Load : Manage an average patient volume of 5 cases, ensuring high-quality surgical outcomes.
  • Call Coverage : Provide 24-hour call coverage to support a solo surgeon in a busy hospital setting.
  • Collaboration with Support Staff : Work closely with a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver efficient patient care and surgical support.

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certification : Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • Experience with CABG : Proficiency in Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) is required for this role.
  • Licensing : Must possess an active Indiana medical license or be able to obtain one promptly.
  • EMR System : Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is preferred.
  • Credentialing Timeframe : Candidates must be prepared for a streamlined credentialing process to ensure immediate placement.
