Home Health Aide

We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients homes in accordance with an established care plan.

Responsibilities

1. Provide health care services in patients residences
2. Perform domestic and household tasks
3. Transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital
4. Assist with clients personal care activities
5. Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) and report on their condition
6. Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
7. Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
8. Follow specific care plans for clients and report all completed tasks
9. Assist with the personal care needs of the client (Bathing, dressing, etc)
10. Provide or assist in light housekeeping, meal preparation & laundry, grocery shop (ESSENTIAL ERRANDS)
11. Maintain a high degree of patient confidentiality and all times due to access of sensitive information
12. Maintain regular attendance, consistent attendance, and is flexible to meet the needs of the client
13. Abide by all regulations & policies

Skills

• Must be 18 and over
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Good communication & interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work with limited supervision*
• Must be caring, compassionate, empathetic and have a true desire to care for others
• Ability to monitor vital signs
• Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
• Caring and compassionate personality
• High school degree
