Tax Manager Tax Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager to oversee our tax compliance and planning efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and various corporate structures, ensuring that all tax obligations are met while optimizing tax strategies for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review the preparation of individual tax returns (1040), corporate tax returns (1120, 1120S), partnership returns (1065), and fiduciary returns (1041)
- Provide tax planning and compliance services for high-net-worth individuals and families, trusts, and estates
- Assist clients with tax compliance for S-Corp, C-Corp, and passthrough entities
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on tax law changes that impact clients
- Collaborate with other professionals in the firm to provide integrated tax and financial services
- Review and mentor junior staff on tax preparation and compliance
- Prepare and review gift tax returns (709) and estate tax returns (706)
- Develop tax strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize efficiency for clients
- Serve as a primary contact for clients on tax-related matters and provide exceptional client service
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designation requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in public accountingExperience with high-net-worth individuals and complex tax situationsStrong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and complianceExcellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software applicationsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectivelyAdvanced degree such as JD or LLM is a plusFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
