Industry Insurance Type Privately Held About the Role We are looking for an experienced Associate Vice President for Health Actuarial Solutions. This key role plays a vital part in driving the financial success of our health reinsurance solutions through technical actuarial analysis, client partnerships, and business development. You will lead the creation and execution of pricing models, conduct risk assessments, and develop financial projections to support our health reinsurance initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and implement reinsurance structures that meet performance objectives and risk profiles. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and oversee a team of actuarial associates. Your key responsibilities will include: Building and maintaining sophisticated pricing tools and models. Underwriting and assessing risk across various health segments. Collaborating across teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in pricing and evaluation processes. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, hold an FSA credential, and have a minimum of 6 years of actuarial experience with a solid foundation in health products, especially in value-based care and accountable care organizations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential, and experience with programming in R, VBA, SQL, or similar tools is highly preferred. Familiarity with actuarial modeling platforms will be an advantage.
