As a Security Guard - Unarmed Mall Patrol in Salem, OR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. This is a driving post, and you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance issues within the location to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by remaining alert to potential theft and / or policy violations.
  • Work closely with store staff and management to address security-related needs and provide a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and respond to evolving needs or emergencies in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
