INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DATA INTERN (Indianapolis)

SUMMARY:Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and an assigned mentor, the Data Intern will perform a variety of functional and administrative duties in accordance with established firm policies and procedures. The intern will collaborate with department team members on specific short- and long-term projects related to their field of study and firm priorities. Activities will be assigned by the CIO based on business needs and learning opportunities for the intern.INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY:The BT RISE Internship Program is designed to introduce students in specified fields of study to the day-to-day operations of a law firm. Candidate’s skill, knowledge, aptitude, and education will be considered during the selection process. To be eligible candidates must:•Have completed their foundation year (at least 24 credits)• Be enrolled in a 2-4 year undergraduate degree program at the time of the internship• Be available to participate for 10 consecutive weeksESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Support the assigned department in delivering meaningful work that advances business Collaborate with team members on focused projects, including data input, data analysis, process documentation, and Assist in the implementation of a data lake and associated activities, such as data integration, data management, and data Participate in internal and external meetings to develop an understanding of their field of study and business Maintain confidentiality in all client and firm Collaborate with other departments and summer interns, where Perform other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:1. Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program to receive college course Pursuing a degree in fields of study that aligns with the following departments: Human Resources, Accounting, Marketing, Information Technology, and Legal Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performing work functions. 4. Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling Strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate in person, by email, phone, and Ability to follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and Provide timely and accurate information with ordinary courtesy and Ability to operate standard office equipment, including personal computer,copiers, phones, and scanning Ability to work collaboratively and job description is intended to describe the general requirements of this position.
