Title : Portable Sanitation Service Technician

Supervisor : Operations Officer / Sanitation Supervisor

FLSA Status : Nonexempt, Full-time

Position Summary

The Portable Sanitation Service Technician is responsible for the service and maintenance of portable restrooms, sinks, and other portable sanitation assets. The Portable Sanitation Service Technician will perform cleaning, stocking, maintenance, repair, adjustments, and minor work to ensure that portable sanitation assets are properly maintained and meet Good Man Sanitation clean and safety standards. The Portable Sanitation Service Technician works independently to perform their duties under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor. In addition to maintaining our vision by adhering to our values, this position must provide the highest level of service to our clients.

Primary Responsibilities

Empty, clean, and restock portable sanitation assets.

Prepare and keep daily records and reports of actions taken, including maintenance and repair work

Operate portable sanitation cleaning equipment and tools

Service, adjust, and make minor repairs to equipment, machines, and attachments

Drive trucks to service locations

Responds to client sanitation emergencies as needed

Know and understand all safety procedures

Communicate with supervisors and other employees, using equipment such as wireless phones, pagers, or radio telephones

Repair and maintain pump motor engines and perform preventative maintenance on vehicles

Operate truck and is responsible for its safe operation and reporting any observed maintenance needs

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Must have a valid drivers license for operation of a motor vehicle and possess an acceptable driving record

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Adept use of all necessary tools and equipment required to perform cleaning and conduct maintenance

Recordkeeping and report techniques and ability to acquire software skills and use systems to maintain logs, inventories, scheduling and respond to service requests

Excellent customer service practices and the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing

Knowledge of workplace safety procedures

Basic arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately

Understand and apply health and safety regulations

Perform assigned tasks independently and ask for supervision or guidance as needed

Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions

Meet the physical demands of the job

Ability to work outdoors, in all sorts of weather

Must be a team player and collaborative problem solver

Uphold a positive attitude and neat, professional presence

Maintain self-motivation and remain productive throughout the day
