About the Unit

Services in the Emergency Department (ED) are available 24-hours a day seven days a week. The department has the capability of caring for medical surgical pediatric and psychiatric emergency needs. The department is staffed with RNs and Patient Care techs with an onsite ED physician 24 / 7.

ER - includes 10 private patient rooms a decontamination room special Behavioral Health psych safe room and will include a new entrance / EMS ED currently serves approximately 11000 persons per year.

Job Summary :

The Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by :

• Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
• Determining the priority of the patients problems and needs
• Implementing clinical nursing interventions
• Having a highly diverse skillset
• Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
• Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
