Job Title : Software Programmer

Job Description :

This developer will be involved with both the ui tiers which are ms .net applications (vb.net, c#.net) and the oracle database tier.

Production trouble shooting support will be expected so production support experience is required. This contractor will be expected to work with minimal supervision, will be in direct contact with business area specialists, develop technical approaches and designs, code, test, and support these functions.

Candidate will also be involved with client financial processing functions and with some aspects of vehicle registration and titling.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities :

1. Analyze the client phoenix ii, web service, and batch business applications.

2. Take the lead in

a. Analyzing and trouble-shooting assigned system problems

b. Analyzing new requirements and regulations

3. Propose solutions and develop technical specifications in response to business requirements

4. Code, test, promote, and interact with impacted users ensuring that solution meets requirements.

5. Provide daily and weekly status to the development manager.

Required skills :

Working knowledge of south carolina driver laws, rules, and regulations as presented in sc code of laws part 56 including :

Credentials, suppensions, violations, financial responsibility, parole, probation, and pardons (ppp) driver support.

Direct knowledge of american association of motor vehicles administrators (aamva) commercial and non-commercial driver processing including :

Federal motor carrier safety act (fmcsa) mandates

Commercial driver license information system (cdlis) interface processing.

Personal driver pointer system (pdps) interface processing

State 2 state (spexs) processing

Current and relevent cobol development with microfocus visual

Cobol using visual studio 2015-2022 in windows server 2016-2022 under IIS.

Application programming against rdbms (oracle, sql).

SQL for oracle DB.

ENterprise multi-tier system design and architecture

Required education :

Prefer bachelor's degree in information technology related discipline with 12 years of experience or minimum 14 years related experience.
