Cook - Dietary Aide

Job Summary :

The Californian is seeking a compassionate and skilled Cook - Dietary Aide to join our team in Pasadena, California. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality food services to our residents, patients, and guests. Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options
  • Assist with meal planning, ordering, and inventory management
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Interact with residents, patients, and guests to ensure their dietary needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable
  • Collaborate with other culinary staff members to ensure seamless meal service
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Food and Nutrition Services

Requirements :

  • Experience in a food service or healthcare setting (training provided)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
