Locum tenens opportunity for an experienced cardiovascular / cardiothoracic surgery Nurse Practitioner in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is based at an acute care hospital, and offers a chance to work closely with a high-performing cardiovascular and thoracic surgery team.

Details :

  • Start Date :  September 25, 2025
  • Location :  Las Vegas, NV
  • Setting :  Acute care hospital
  • Schedule :  15–20 days per month
  • Availability :  Prefer blocks of 2–3 months for team continuity
  • EMR :  Cerner

Responsibilities :

  • First assist in complex CVT surgical procedures
  • Inpatient management including pre-, peri-, and postoperative care
  • Rotating 24-hour first call coverage for CVT service
  • Rounding, interdisciplinary coordination, and ER consults
  • Diagnostic test interpretation and medication management
  • Collaborative work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Must have full first assist capabilities for complex CVT procedures
  • CVT experience is required  – candidates without this background will not be considered

    • Requirements :

  • NV state license; active, unrestricted
  • Certifications- BLS, ACLS, DEA

    • Compensation :

  • Competitive market rate (based on availability, experience, certifications, housing, and transportation needs).
