5-axis Programmer

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a 5-axis Programmer to join a leading Company located in the Birmingham, AL surrounding area.

Basic Hiring Criteria

Proven 5-axis CNC programming experience in aerospace / defense, specifically with Si

emens NX (UG) CAM and Heidenhain controls

Expertise in creating robust programs for complex flight hardware : thin-wall, orthogrid, missile bodies, impellers, and tight-tolerance 5-axis parts

Strong command of NX toolpath strategies (Streamline, Rest Milling, 5-axis Swarf, Variable Axis Contour)

Hands-on shop floor experience setting up, proving out programs, and optimizing cycle times on 5-axis mills (DMG, Hermle, Heller)

Proficient in GD&T, tolerancing
