Job Summary:

As a Senior Database Management Specialist, you will lead the design, optimization, and maintenance of complex databases and data systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud-based databases, support integrations, enhance performance, and ensure compliance and data governance standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain enterprise databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Develop and implement data migration strategies.
• Build and optimize complex database architectures and ETL processes.
• Administer PostgreSQL Server and MongoDB in on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
• Create user roles, manage backups, ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Monitor database performance and security, perform tuning and debugging.
• Collaborate on integration strategies and infrastructure enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with governance, metadata, and quality controls.
• Support application testing (unit, UAT, load, validation).
• Maintain database documentation and data dictionaries.
• Implement and optimize large-scale data strategies.
• Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience designing and maintaining enterprise databases.
• 4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Informatica.
• 4+ years working with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Maven, Git, Bitbucket, Jira.
• 4+ years with AWS Cloud (EC2, AMIs, CI/CD pipelines).
• 4+ years supporting document management systems.
• 2+ years in large-volume data migration.
• Experience with SQL query tuning, stored procedures, patching, and role-based access (RBAC).
• Strong knowledge of indexing, replication, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience supporting public sector or health & human services systems.
• Experience with EDI transactions: 834, 820, 999, 270/271.
• Deep knowledge of Corticon business rule engines and Integrated Eligibility systems.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or QlikSense for reporting and dashboards.
• Understanding of HIX (Health Insurance Exchange) marketplaces and healthcare data compliance.
• Hands-on experience with data governance programs, metadata management, and data validation protocols.
