Sanitation Supervisor - 2nd Shift (Miamisburg)

The Sanitation Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Support Operations, leads a team of Sanitation Technicians to ensure the facilities and all food processing equipment are maintained in a sanitary and safe condition. This hands-on role requires frequent presence on the production floor and regular interaction with leadership for guidance and feedback.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Recruit, train, coach, and mentor sanitation team members.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and goal-setting sessions.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Enforce all applicable Federal, State, and industry-specific Health and Safety regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety through training, awareness, and modeling safe behaviors especially around chemical handling, PPE, and exposure risks.
• Maintain accurate documentation (e.g., , MSS, Chemical Inventory / Usage / Titrations, Pest Control Audits, Daily Tasks).
• Ensure compliance with FSQS policies, departmental SOPs, SSOPs, and safety protocols.
• Conduct routine facility inspections to identify sanitation opportunities.
• Perform annual SSOP audits to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Lead and support investigations, Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), and Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts.
• Provide leadership during emergencies and ensure personnel accountability.
• Execute all duties in alignment with Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, reporting food safety concerns to QA and Production Leadership and completing CAPAs as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
• Verify completion of sanitation tasks via the CMMS platform.
• Collaborate with QA, Production, and Maintenance to align sanitation with production and quality goals.
• Enforce GMP and safety policies to uphold high cleanliness standards.
• Implement and monitor allergen control procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
• Support Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP) through swabbing coordination and corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Note : This is a highly hands-on role with minimal desk work. The supervisor is expected to be actively present on the production floor, working closely with the sanitation team in a fast-paced environment.
