Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION :

  • Insight Global is seeking an Underwriting Specialist to join the team for a large insurance end-client located in Charlotte, NC. This individual will be responsible for leading early-stage projects, navigating emerging technologies, and leveraging customer feedback to shape the firm's insurance offerings. The Incubation Specialist will work with the team to develop manuals and update current processes to aid in the transition of programs and ensure the operations run smoothly. This is the ideal role for someone seeking a future career as an underwriter.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assist with non-production functions related to insurance policy issuance, endorsement processing, cancellations, etc.
  • Perform quality reviews, provide feedback, and cross-reference with underwriting standards
  • Document touchpoints, customer research, performance detailed analysis, and translate findings into simplified documentation
  • Coordinate with onshore and offshore business partners to research and resolve changes / errors that arise
  • Communicate with underwriters to identify additional areas that require support, evaluate underwriting processes for programs and portals, and make recommendations for solutions

    Skills and Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience (office setting preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • This individual must take initiative and be able to work independently
  • 2+ years of insurance expertise
  • Claims, auto-insurance, health insurance, or insurance sales experience
