Nuclear Medicine Technologist

SUMMARY : Performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for scans of particular organs. Administers radiopharmaceutical drugs and performs scans in accordance with accepted nuclear medicine standards. Furnishes diagnostic information. Furnishes diagnostic results and findings to appropriate personnel. Operates equipment to produce images. Processes and manipulates data to obtain qualitative and quantitative information in specific anatomical areas of concern.

Required Licensure / Certification / Registration : CNMT by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or RT(R)(N) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; BLS

Preferred Experience : Minimum three (3) years nuclear medicine experience; minimum one (1) year diagnostic imaging experience

Preferred Licensure / Certification / Registration : BLS
