Job Description
We are seeking a Gynecological Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 16-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity starts Jan 2, 2026, and offers day shifts, Monday through Friday (4 shifts a week). The role focuses on ambulatory gynecologic oncology, including chemotherapy and biotherapy prescribing, and requires demonstrated recent experience administering chemotherapy / biotherapy.

Responsibilities and Duties
Perform history and physical exams, including pelvic exams as neededOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities within specialtyImplement therapeutic interventions for specific conditionsAdminister and prescribe chemotherapy and biotherapyConduct arterial puncture and blood gas samplingProvide debridement and care for superficial wounds and minor surgical proceduresPerform incision and drainage of superficial abscessesInsert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubesAssess intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum patients in both complicated and uncomplicated scenariosPerform colposcopy with or without biopsiesEvaluate and treat common vaginal infectionsInterpret fetal heart monitor and tracingInsert and remove intrauterine devices (IUDs) and subcutaneous birth controlInitiate pharmacologic therapy for general gynecologic and obstetric health needsPerform endometrial, vaginal, and vulvar biopsiesScreen and refer for other health problems, including suspected sexual abuse or rapeScreen for high-risk pregnancies, pregnancy complications, and postpartum complicationsAdditional Information
Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in New YorkRequired certifications : Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGPCNP-BC), Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certifications requiredMust demonstrate current competence with at least 10 chemotherapy / biotherapy administrations in the past 12 monthsOrientation begins Jan 2, 2026; clinical duties commence Jan 5, 2026Benefits
