Position: Family Nurse Practitioner
Compensation: $130,000 – $140,000 per year (base)
Additional Compensation:
Experience differential: $500 added to base for each year of prior clinical experience (capped at 15 years)
Sign-on bonus: $15,000
Overview:
The Family Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive healthcare, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of common and chronic conditions. Focus is placed on health promotion, disease prevention, patient education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams. This role may include precepting students or staff and participating in community outreach and professional development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical / Technical:
Perform health assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic testing
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
Provide patient education, counseling, and preventive care
Make referrals and collaborate with healthcare team members
Provide coverage for patient phone calls and follow-ups as assigned
Maintain documentation and meet productivity and quality standards

Care for patients across all age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Adjust care approaches based on age-specific needs and communication styles

Uphold patient and staff confidentiality and regulatory compliance

Act as a preceptor or mentor to staff and students

Communication / Relationships:
Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and respect in interactions with patients, families, and staff
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and community agencies
Report to the medical director or supervisory leadership as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Current NY State RN license and NP certification/registration
Current BCLS certification
Strong clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner
Basic computer skills; familiarity with electronic health records preferred
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
