Chipton-Ross is seeking 9 Fabrication Specialist A's for a contract opportunity in Salt Lake City, UT.

100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Regular and predictable attendance is required. Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling metal structure components with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of blueprints and production orders and the ability to operate various hand and power tools. o Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. o Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. o Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. o Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. o Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. o Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o 1+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. o 3+ months experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience. o Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data. o Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

o Able to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting. o Able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time/Second Shift 3:30 PM - 12:00 PM

MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.

OT/DOT: OT on Saturdays
