Overview:
We are looking for an experienced HVAC General Manager who also holds a valid Texas HVAC Contractor’s License to lead operations for a new franchise location in the Houston area. This is an exciting, long-term opportunity to help grow a locally owned business backed by a nationally recognized brand.
In this leadership role, you will oversee the entire business unit—driving profitability, operational efficiency, team performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the business unit, including oversight of all financial and operational performance (P&L responsibility).
- Develop and execute business plans focused on growth, revenue generation, and market expansion.
- Actively participate in business development and local networking to build a client base.
- Create accurate forecasts related to sales, market mix, and profitability.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes, market trends, and local competition.
- Manage budgets, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reports.
- Oversee pricing structures, labor rates, and vendor negotiations.
- Monitor service performance metrics such as call volume, daily sales, and technician productivity.
- Ensure job permitting, warranties, and field inspections are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other franchise GMs during scheduled calls and meetings.
- Recruit, train, develop, and manage operations staff including technicians and administrative personnel.
Skills & Qualifications:
5–7 years of progressive experience in the HVAC industry
3–5 years of leadership or management experience- Strong understanding of P&L, job costing, and business operations
- Proven track record of achieving revenue and growth goals
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Licensing & Certifications:
Texas HVAC Contractor’s License (Required)
EPA Certification (Required)
