Payroll Administrator

Location: 6030 East Independence Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28212

Summary: Responsible for preparing and maintaining payroll and related employment records. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, sales commissions or piecework from time sheets and other records
2. Computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records
3. Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
4. Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments
5. Prorates expenses to be debited or credited to each department for cost accounting records
6. Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
7. Keeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wages
8. Ensures that all new employees complete necessary paperwork on a timely basis
9. Ensures employees receive benefits information and paperwork
10. Prepares and maintains other employment records
11. Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
12. Participates in required training
13. Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
14. Follows Safeguards rules and regulations
15. Demonstrates the Company's Core Values
16. Complies with Company policies and procedures
17. Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
18. Other duties as assigned
