Color Designer

Job Description : This role is responsible for planning and executing innovative color designs for Women’s Lifestyle Footwear, working collaboratively with design, product marketing, development, and material consultants to deliver market-ready solutions. The position involves developing line art, managing samples, maintaining timelines, and coordinating with materials consultants. It also requires creating seasonal color strategies, understanding consumer behaviors, and leading color merchandising initiatives. The designer will utilize advanced design skills, provide mentorship to junior designers, and contribute to advancing client’s color design expertise and strategy.

Duties / Responsibilities of the Job :

• Plan and execute color designs with cross-functional teams.
• Review samples to ensure marketable design solutions and timely completion.
• Maintain and manage category / division color calendars and timelines.
• Develop line art, color design server entries, GPIN, merchandising lines, and cutting samples.
• Research and deliver color, design, market, and lifestyle trends to inform strategies.
• Create seasonal direction for color, materials, and graphics.
• Partner with leadership to develop seasonal merchandising strategies and stories.
• Present and communicate color direction and seasonal strategies to internal and external groups.
• Contribute to divisional and footwear committee color planning.
• Mentor and train junior designers while advancing technical expertise across the color design team.
