Summary:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Extern provides basic nursing skills and care within the patient and family centered care model. Nursing skills include assisting with personal care, phlebotomy, EKG and basic nursing skills, etc. to facilitate quality service outcomes.

Education:

Enrollment in a BSN program and completion of at least the third year of the program. Or enrollment in Associate Nursing program with completion of at least one year of the nursing curriculum.

Experience:

One year clinical experience as a Nursing Assistant in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Credentials:

BLS through AHA or Red Cross
