Position Summary
We are seeking an experiencedEstimatorto join our team. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and profitable job estimates, developing winning proposals, and working with project teams to ensure successful project execution. This role reports directly to the President, Vice President, and Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates based on blueprints, site plans, and project documentation.
• Develop and present project proposals to clients and follow up to secure projects.
• Collaborate closely with project foremen and project managers on pre-job planning, schedules, and shop drawings (AutoCAD).
• Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support field crews by ensuring smooth coordination and clear communication.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Attend management meetings and communicate company priorities to project teams.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required, bachelors degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience in construction; 5+ years of overall construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building and framing layout; ability to read blueprints and perform material take-offs.
• Proficiency with MS Project; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to inspire and guide others.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Valid California drivers license and insurable driving record required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and meet physical demands of site visits.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in project administration or coordination (12 years).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven ability to foster teamwork and maintain customer-first focus.
