The Construction Inspector ensures that the City's underground utility and pavement construction projects comply with established policies and ordinances. Responsibilities include scheduling and conducting site inspections, reviewing construction plans for compliance, and issuing notices or citations when necessary. The role also involves performing follow?up inspections, testing pipeline, and pavement construction, verifying elevations and construction locations, and completing final site inspections. Additional duties include maintaining construction files, generating reports, providing administrative support, and offering information to contractors and citizens. The position also requires coordination with other City employees and departments. This role does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

There is one position that can be filled as either a Construction Inspector or Senior Construction Inspector
