Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this position follows product from disassembly, through machining and assembly, supporting work center activities with primary purposes of machine layout, process flow, and continuous improvement. Develop and improve machines, equipment, tools, and fixturing to improve Safety, Quality, and Productivity of the processes and product families.

Essential Responsibilities :
Assist and maintain adherence to project timelinesMaintain tooling and equipment for Production support.Support and improve Production disassembly and assembly of product line.Study core units and analyses component wear of units to estimate extent of remanufacturing neededAssist in troubleshooting potential problems that arise in Production.Assist with setting replacement percentages for BOMs (determine scrap levels of remanufactured products, new product or process documentation)Support Manufacturing Engineers as required by project timeline and magnitude.Develop error proofing devices and procedures to improve Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.Assist with work instruction developmentParticipate on project teams and on short-term assignmentsPerform other duties assigned by the supervisor.Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being a part owner of the company.Participate in Continuous Improvement activities (LDM, Kaizens, cost reduction projects)Assist with PCR's, DCN's, and BOM change requestsMust have analytical thinking skills, be customer focused, have flexibility with work and excellent judgement. Must also work well with a team, show initiative, be able to communicate orally and in writing while exceeding goals.Requirements :
Minimum High School diploma or GED, associate's degree or BS in a technical discipline preferredTwo years' experience in related field requiredAbility to use numerous hand tools, fork truck, gauges and product testing equipment, multiple computer programs, digital camera, copier, calculator, telephone, and fax machineAccuracy and attention to detail are a critical function of this position and to the success of the organizationGood oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customersTraining in employee orientation, sexual harassment, safety orientation, and quality systems orientationMust wear all required personal protection equipment in designated areas. Care is necessary to avoid placing self and others in an unsafe environment.Ability to find, interpret, and apply Job Safety Analysis' (JSA). Must be able to read SDS sheets.
