[job_card.job_description]Monday - Friday Weekly Pay Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently throughout shift Assisting Steel Slitters with slitting sheet metal down to customer-specified sizes Banding steel coils and preparing for shipment Working on a shear with the other operators, and helping as needed Looking for defects on the material as it moves on the line Setting up skids Maintaining a clean and organized work station, for the safety of yourself and others Must be able to read & speak English fluently Must be team-oriented, and work well with others STEEL TOE BOOTS / SHOES REQUIRED Excellent work history and attendance a must! Standing, sitting, moving, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, push / pull up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, hearing or equivalent, sight-visual acuity. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers including fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of a control mechanism; skillful, controlled manipulations of small objects; coordinating the movement of more than one limb simultaneously and bending or stooping repeatedly or continually over time. The ability to read and understand work instruction plans, diagrams and specifications. Effectively communicate and interact with others. High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience. The ability to read and understand work instruction plans, diagrams and specifications.
General Laborers (Slitter Helper) Opportunity
Cardinal Staffing is seeking General Laborers (Slitter Helper) for a steel facility in New Boston, MI. As the top employer in the area, we offer weekly pay and other amazing employee benefits.
Shifts :
- 1st Shift 5am-3pm
- 2nd Shift 3 : 00PM - 1 : 00AM
Schedule :
Some overtime may be required if production needs increase.
Pay : $17.00 - $17.40 per hour
MUST provide an updated resume that shows recent work history.
Hire-in opportunity after 90 days (based on attendance and performance).
Full benefits available after hire-in date.
The purpose of this job is to perform miscellaneous general labor activities, including pulling parts off a laser machine.
Essential Functions of Job :

Attendance / Hours required as part of the essential functions :
Full-time, 40 hour, 5 day work week. Overtime to accommodate production schedules may be required.
