Junior Staff Accountant

Job Summary :

The Junior Staff Accountant role requires strong analytical, technology, communication and organizational skills. This position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the Company’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Provide monthly, quarterly, and year end analysis reports.
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Complete Government Census reports as required.
• Assist with developing Policy and Procedures.
• Complete monthly and quarterly sales tax reporting.
• Prepare annual personal property tax reporting.
• Assist with preparation of annual budget and cash-flow projections.
• Assist with the month end close process
• Manage the corporate credit card and expense reimbursement programs
• Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
• Provide back-up support to other accounting positions as necessary.
• Cross-train with in accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchase order management, and other accounting department functions.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
