Insight Global is looking for a ColdFusion Developer to join one of their clients in New York City. This person will be responsible for, ensuring that the Law School's legacy ColdFusion applications remain secure and functional as the university starts to get rid of LDAP authentication. Your primary focus will be on transitioning these systems to modern authentication methods, either by reworking ColdFusion modules to support SAML or by implementing a reverse application proxy that integrates with OAuth / SAML and enforces secure headers for authorization. This work will involve analyzing existing codebases, updating shared libraries, and validating that applications continue to operate reliably throughout the transition. Beyond authentication, you will manage critical infrastructure components such as Windows Server environments, load balancers, SSL certificate management, and multi-factor authentication. You will also contribute to ongoing migration efforts as applications are gradually moved to modern platforms like Salesforce, and .NET, while documenting workflows and providing support to ensure requirements are met. Day-to-day responsibilities will include balancing urgent short-term fixes with longer-term planning, participating in sprints using project management tools such as Linear, and applying CI / CD practices. You will also have to run daily / every other day scrum calls to ensure alignment on the work being completed.
