Mount Indie is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Digital Engineering / MBSE and 5 years of mechanical design / analysis experience. The candidate will have over mechanical design, thermal and static analysis, material selection, environmental ruggedization, and payload / platform system safety & integration experience, to work on a program at Point Mugu, CA. Responsibilities
- Demonstrable experience in MBSE / Digital Engineering capabilities
- Create mechanical designs and CAD models for payloads and assemblies
- Perform thermal and structural FEA analysis
- Select materials and design for environmental ruggedization
- Support payload integration on platforms including mounts and harness routing
- Produce manufacturing documentation with GD&T and tolerances
- Support vibration, thermal, and environmental testing
