Founded in 1909, George Junior Republic is dedicated to helping at-risk youth become successful, well-adjusted adults, capable of achieving a higher degree of citizenship and a better understanding of his responsibility to society, family and self. Preventative Aftercare was established in 1993.

Summary of the position: The Mental Health Worker/Mental Health Professional will work therapeutically with clients under the clinical direction of the Regional Supervisor and will maintain best practice standards.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Deliver comprehensive home-based services
2. Evaluate client's mental health condition based on a review of clinical information
3. Develop and maintain positive working relationship with referring agency staff, schools, and community resources.
4. Provide Safety and Crisis plans for all clients served
5. Ensure admissions are promptly processed
6. Comply with HIPAA, Mandated Reporting, Duty to Warn, and Duty to Protect Laws in all clinical work.
7. Utilize Motivational Interviewing as a tool and provide monthly session recordings
8. Coordinate treatment services and attend treatment meetings as needed
9. Apply cultural sensitivity in clinical and professional work
10. Meet or exceed clinical productivity targets

Working Conditions:

1. This is a community-based position.
2. Mental Health Workers are community-based employees who provide services in homes, schools, and communities.
3. Must have a valid drivers license.
