Associate Attorney (Construction)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team in either St. Louis or Cincinnati. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to engage in diverse aspects of construction law, focusing on dispute resolution and contract management. Our clientele includes a wide range of professionals such as contractors, design-builders, subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in mediation, litigation, and arbitration to resolve construction disputes.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate construction contracts.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings and motions.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests effectively.
• Assist in preparing cases for trial or arbitration.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, with a preference for those with a background in construction law.
• Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
• Demonstrated experience in case preparation for trial or arbitration.
• Familiarity with construction contracts is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, providing clarity on legal and practical issues in construction disputes.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Must hold a valid law license in Missouri or Ohio.
