Qualifications : Education, training, and experience : Bachelor’s Degree in related field or and / or equivalent combination of High School Diploma / GED, training and work experience. Experience with software application testing and documentation skills. 3+ years of software testing experience and quality assurance preferred. Demonstrated sound independent judgement and strong analytic ability in solving complex and sensitive issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interface well with both technical and non-technical staff. Demonstrated knowledge of our in-house applications. Demonstrated technical aptitude and a customer service orientation. Working knowledge of hardware and software applications to include Windows applications, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio. Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy, able to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines. Works well with management and co-workers.
Overview :
This position is responsible for gathering and analyzing business data and leading a team of available resources when consulting with business managers, end-users and IT development staff. They must have the ability to lead and conduct software and application guidance and analyze automation / change opportunities with the business units. Participate in development as well as provide application program testing and quality assurance within the IT department. Must have knowledge and be accountable for several of the following; quoting, websites, financial / general ledger, ISO / Bureau reporting, forms application, policy, agency and claims management systems.
Responsibilities :
- Act as a liaison between Business Users and the IT Progamming and Development staff to write assess new business requirements and change requests.
- Collaborate with the IT Development staff and Technical Business Analyst on change / release management for all application systems, production change, implementation and documentation.
- Lead a team in the development of business requirement specifications in conjunction with the programming and development staff.
- Communicate with business users in the various departments and management to ensure a high correlation among customer needs, company goals and information system products.
- Develop and execute software test plans as well as documenting test results.
- Lead the development, coordination, and write new documentation and conduct / oversee traning for program change requests used by end users.
- Conduct day to day testing of changes to the application systems. This will include testing both new program changes and fixes to all applications.
- Responsible for regulatory and compliance activities with regard to the filings and ISO and Bureau reporting.
- Develop and create forms design and integration with various applications. Integrate with the job scheduler and form merging programs to implement.
