About Telemetry Med-Surg - 2600 :

This 27-bed, stroke-certified unit specializes in telemetry monitoring for cardiac patients, while also accommodating a variety of general medical conditions. Here, you will gain valuable experience and develop a robust skill set to advance your nursing career.

We're excited to introduce a virtual nursing program that allows a nurse to support bedside staff from a central hub during peak hours. Prior to taking on this innovative role, we require 6 months of experience on the unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Deliver exceptional, patient-centered clinical care.
• Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments, using relevant data appropriate to patient needs.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, communicating assessments and utilizing resources to address patient needs.
• Develop personalized care plans that cater to individual patient strengths and limitations.
• Adhere to organizational policies and protocols governing safety and medication administration.
• Regularly revise care plans based on ongoing evaluations and updates.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives, submitting a CRU form based on recent studies.
• Complete a minimum of 5 contact hours (CNE or CEU) annually.
• Meet mandatory in-service training and health screening deadlines.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

This position requires medium work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, along with frequent walking, standing, and squatting.

PAY RANGE : $38.66 - $51.91

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant, subject to future modifications based on experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity, and location.
