We are working with a prominent, regional firm seeking a Business Litigation Associate with at least seven years of experience to join their White Plains, Albany, or Uniondale (Long Island) office.

Ideal candidates will have experience in complex commercial litigation and / or bankruptcy (preferred). They will be responsible for matters from case inception to settlement or trial, including drafting memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, and briefs; researching various factual and legal issues and collaborating with senior attorneys about strategies; examining records and transactions underlying business disputes and investigations as to potential client claims; managing discovery, including taking and defending deposition; attending court appearances; preparing for trial and representing clients in courtroom and mediation / arbitration proceedings.

The candidate must have experience with New York State Court and Federal Court practice, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent research and writing skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high level organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. New York Bar admission required. Admission to the Connecticut and / or Massachusetts Bar is a plus!
