Job Position : Medical Receptionist

Location : Savannah, GA 31405

Pay Rate : $15.00 / hr

Shift : 1st

Description : We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our client's healthcare team! The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks.

Medical Receptionist Responsibilities :

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage the patient check-in processes efficiently
  • Confirm or update patient demographics manually or via mobile check in tool
  • Process insurance information, including Medicare, and verify patient eligibility
  • Assist in scanning and indexing important documents (ID, insurance card, imaging reports, registration forms, etc.) into the appropriate software programs
  • Verify office visit charges have been entered in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized reception area
  • Utilize office management systems effectively to streamline operations

    • Skills / Requirements :

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is required
  • Familiarity with EHR systems such as Allscripts, NextGen, eCW, athenahealth, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Clean background and credit history required
