As a Security Guard - Armed Telecom Patrol in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will conduct routine armed patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to incidents as needed. What You'll Do :

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or identify potential concerns.

Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and / or incidents.

Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols.

Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and / or contractors, answering questions and providing assistance as needed.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of activities, incidents, and / or observations during the shift.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as any applicable local regulations.

Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and / or other equipment as required for the post.

Minimum Requirements :

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.

Possess an armed guard card or armed guard license.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
