SUMMARY
:The Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA) is the senior student services officer at the University. The VPSA provides vision, leadership, and management for the division of Student Affairs. As the chief advocate for the student body, the VPSA articulates the challenges that face ECU students to the President’s Cabinet.

·Administerscommitteesfocusedonthehealthandoverallwell-beingofstudents;
·EnsurescompliancewithUniversityandgoverningboards;
·Createsreportsandcommunications;
·Supportsstudentretentionefforts;
·ServesasaTitleIXInvestigatorasneeded;
·Fostersanenvironmentthatsupportstheholisticdevelopmentofstudentsthroughextracurricular programming and activities; and
·PerformsallotherdutiesandresponsibilitiesasassignedbythePresident.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Earned doctorate in higher education, counseling, the social sciences, or a related field and a minimumof5yearsofprogressivelysuccessfuladministrativeexperiencesinStudentAffairssupervisionand budget development.
