Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible GASTROENTEROLOGIST to join our advanced endoscopy section. Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with more than 36,000 employees and over 4,600 employed and affiliated physicians in over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties. It operates 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Gulf South.

Position Highlights :

  • Join a team of 4 physicians already offering comprehensive advanced endoscopy services, including : complex ERCP, interventional EUS, complex tissue resection including ESD
  • High volume center that attracts referrals from the entire Gulf Coast region – last year group performed >

1100 ERCPs and >

1600 EUS procedures

  • Ideal candidate would be trained in ESD procedures
  • Perform endoscopic procedures in dedicated interventional endoscopy suites with advanced endoscopy dedicated support staff
  • Join a collegial, 23-physician, GI group comprised general GIs, hepatologists, IBD subspecialists, and advanced endoscopists
  • Strong support from collaborative specialties— including surgery, pathology, oncology, and interventional radiology
  • Call equally shared in advanced endoscopy group – focused only on advanced endoscopy (no general GI call coverage)
  • Opportunity to teach – Institution supports a strong GI fellowship (3 trainees / year) and Internal Medicine residency programs
