Per Diem Pool RN - Specialty, Nursing Admin, Per Diem, Days or Nights

JOB TITLE: Per Diem Float Pool Staff RN Specialty (Cath Lab, ED, ICU, L&D, NICU, PACU, Surgery)

REPORTS TO: CNO, Nursing Administration

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides professional nursing care by utilizing the nursing process to care for patients. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Required to float to other clinical units with demonstrated competency. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred. BSN preferred. Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a current California RN license and BLS certification. ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire or status change. Must obtain basic dysrhythmia certification within 120 days of employment or status change. Must obtain hemodynamic monitoring certificate within 120 days of hire or status change. CEN preferred.

INCENTIVE: RN Per Diem Float Pool Bonus of $3,500.00 shall be distributed as $1,000.00 at 25 consecutive shifts with no call offs and $2,500.00 at 45 additional consecutive shifts with no call offs.

PER DIEM POOL AGREEMENT:

• Work 6 shifts per 6-week schedule period to include 2 weekend shifts
• Work 1 Major Holiday (Christmas Day and New Year's Day)
• Work 1 Minor Holiday (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving)

PER DIEM POOL:

• Will be required to float to other units based on competency.
