Analyst - Freight Claims

Summary

The Analyst - Claims position will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and processing transportation damage claims. They will also be responsible for handling and resolving claims issues and disputes from dealers and transportation vendors.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process transportation damage claims: Review and investigate damage liability Provide recommendations if the damaged vehicle will require 3rd party inspection Prepare and submit transportation claims invoice to liable party
• Handle and process insurance claims on behalf of customers on force majeure/act of god related incidents: Collect incident report Coordinate repairs with dealers or 3rd party repair vendor Prepare claim documents for customer insurance Prepare billing invoice to customers
• Distribution and reconciliation of open claims: Weekly review of aging report Follow up on claim payment Monthly distribution of aging report and offset notice to transportation vendors
• Department KPI review: Open claims review Claim Analyst status review
• Assist with claims data analysis
• Assist with process improvement and special projects

Compensation

$52,000- $56,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with computer database management systems
• Strong communication, critical thinking, planning, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Broad knowledge of general business application programs, including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows OS environment
• Ability to make accurate assessments based upon common industry practice, vendor contractual obligations, and department policies
• Proficient with PC skills: Excel, Word, and database management

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma / GED Required
• Bachelors Degree Preferred
• 1 - 2 Years of Direct Experience Required 2 - 5 Years of Direct Experience Preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
• Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
• Stand/walk
