Overview
Established in 1926, Rolling Green is a nationally acclaimed golf club with rich architectural and tournament history. For almost 100 years, the club's goal has been to make the game of golf central and paramount to everything else. Rolling Green is known for its challenging green complexes, which are sure to test golfers of every skill level. The club is a proud supporter of local and national competition, having hosted two USGA national championships (1976 US Women's Open, 2016 US Women's Amateur), multiple Golf Association of Philadelphia majors, as well as the 2021 PGA Forme Tour Rolling Green Championship.
The course has recently gone under renovation work led by Gil Hanse and is celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2026.
Construction has just begun on a new state of the art teaching building that will includude 4 indoor simulators (TrackMan IO) and a putting studio. The building is scheduled to be completed this fall.
Experience Required
Rolling Green is looking for a team-oriented individual with a "can-do" attitude. Experience at a private course is preferred but not required. This opportunity would be great for someone who aspires to be a full time teaching professional/Director of Instruction.
Essential Responsibilities
Player Development & Instruction
Design, implement, and grow junior golf programs, including clinics, camps, lessons, and other player development programs
Lead adult beginner programs focused on fundamentals, confidence-building, and on-course enjoyment
Provide individual and group instruction using modern teaching techniques and technology
Golf Shop Operations (Approximately 20 Hours per Week)
Provide exceptional member and guest service in the golf shop
Assist with tee sheet management, merchandising, point-of-sale operations, and daily opening/closing procedures
Support tournament operations, including registration, scoring, and on-course setup
Communicate effectively with members regarding programs, events, and club activities
Additional Duties
Assist the Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf with operational and programming needs
