Direct Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Specialist to join our team. The Direct Care Specialist will provide personalized care and support to individuals in need, primarily within their own homes or residential settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for those they serve.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
2. Assist clients with mobility and transportation as needed, including transfers, ambulation, and accompanying to appointments or outings.
3. Support clients in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
4. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
5. Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and other caregivers to ensure holistic care and coordination of services.
6. Follow established care plans and adapt as necessary to meet evolving needs or preferences of clients.
7. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients and their families at all times.
8. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in direct care practices.
